Have you ever looked at a king; so humble that he eats in tables of pagans in the streets? His robe so white but he playes football amongst the "dirty kid" in the street? So much laden with power but slapped, kicked and spat on by "freaks"? Most of all, an immortal he is yet subjected to the same nature of man- to face hardship apportioned to mortals in Genesis3:17, and finally to be grasp by cold hands of death(still something not meant for an immortal king)- that an impossibility in my own standards and understanding. Yet a man stood and bear all this and wholesomely offered his immortal life just to remit our sins and bring us to immortality in the latter days first by humbling himself as a mortal. Paul quipped in his letter to the Phillipian church "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!(Phil 2:5-8) to portray the reality of this man's humility. This man called Christ has led by example and he has called on us to reciprocate by taking up his yoke upon ourselves and learn from Him. He said; "... I am gentle and humble in heart...". There is nothing rewarding as humility as it comes with its extra reward. Christ first showed it by coming to take human flesh and was hugely rewarded by the Father- "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name"- and Christ has also promised us - "... whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven"(Matt18:4), "...whoever humbles himself will be exalted"(Matt 23:12). Finally, more grace are accorded to the humble that was why Christ had enough grace to endure those pains and spare to give to humble mortals(James 4:6-7). I want to be Be Christ, humility is definitely one of my feature.

Don't be harsh cos Jesus Christ wasn't harsh, don't become fanatical about anything cos Jesus wasn't that, extend caring hands to the uncared ones cos Jesus did that most frequently, be lovely, socialable and humble cos Jesus Christ exude such up to the extent of losing his soul for us
